EventraX

Ticketing built around the venue, not just the date.

Overview

A venue-centric event management and ticketing platform — map-based discovery, QR and Apple Wallet tickets, Stripe Connect payouts direct to organisers, livestream access for virtual and hybrid events, and an organiser dashboard.

The problem

Mainstream ticketing treats the venue as a line of text on a listing. For organisers running recurring events across the same handful of places — churches, training providers, community groups — that means retyping the same details every time, while attendees get an address instead of a sense of where they are going. Payouts are the other half of it: organisers wait on money they have no visibility of.

The approach

  1. Made venues first-class records rather than a field on an event — created once and reused, with their own management screens and a quick-create modal so adding a venue never interrupts publishing an event.
  2. Put discovery on a map. Leaflet drives both nearby-event browsing and per-venue detail, so location is something you can see rather than an address to paste into another app.
  3. Routed money through Stripe Connect so each organiser is paid into their own account — checkout sessions, webhook-driven fulfilment, refunds, balance and payouts all handled server-side rather than settling centrally.
  4. Treated virtual and hybrid as first-class event types alongside physical, with livestream access gated by the ticket rather than bolted on as a separate link.
  5. Enforced the three roles — attendee, organiser, admin — in Firestore security rules with required-field validation, so authorisation lives with the data rather than only in the interface.
