Overview

A workspace for the marks a business signs and brands with — signatures, calligraphy, logos, brand identity and document authentication — for individuals, businesses and teams. Built as an installable PWA on a NestJS, Prisma and PostgreSQL backend.

The problem

Digital signature tools either produce a flat image with no provenance, or lock businesses into enterprise e-signature contracts priced for legal departments. Nothing sat in between for individuals and small teams who needed something real — and nothing joined the signature up with the rest of a business identity: the logo, the card, the email footer.

The approach

1. Did the hard part in the browser rather than on a server: real image processing for imported ink — background removal, contrast, recolour, autocrop — so a photograph of a paper signature becomes a clean transparent asset.
2. Built genuine geometry analysis rather than a decorative score: rhythm, fluidity, slant, spacing and pressure, producing an authenticity profile a verification comparison can actually use.
3. Implemented true document signing with pdf-lib — a real PDF in, a genuinely signed PDF out — instead of overlaying an image in a preview.
4. Widened the product from one signature to a whole identity: logo and calligraphy studios, business cards, palette and typography, and an exportable HTML email signature.
5. Shipped the surrounding platform properly: encrypted vault, team management, Stripe billing, light and dark themes, and PWA install.
